Proposal Review/Approval
All external proposals, including Letters of Intent (LOI), Pre-Proposals and Full Grant Submissions require administrative approval BEFORE submission, regardless of type of agency or dollar amount.
Faculty and staff must submit the complete and final proposal, accompanied by an Externally Funded Project Approval Form (EFPA) to ORSSP. A proposal for external funding will receive one of two levels of review -- full or limited -- depending on when the final version of the proposal and its accompanying EFPA are received in the Office of Research Support and Sponsored Programs.
EFPA Form
Faculty and staff must submit the complete and final proposal, accompanied by an Externally Funded Project Approval Form (EFPA) and submit to ORSSP at least 5 business days before sponsor deadline.
For assistance with the EFPA form contact Meg Hambrose at 570-941-4262 or margaret.hambrose@scranton.edu
Full Proposal Review
Full Review: A full review ensures compliance with both Â鶹ÊÓƵ and sponsor requirements, and is provided for proposals submitted to ORSSP with a lead time of at least 10 business days prior to the submission deadline of the external agency.
This time also allows for assistance with proposal preparation, including budget preparation and other proposal component revision.
Limited Proposal Review
Limited (Institutional Only) Review: A limited review ensures compliance with University requirements only, and is provided for proposals submitted to ORSSP with a lead time of at least 5 (but less than 10) business days prior to the submission deadline.
A limited review does not provide a check for compliance with the sponsor's guidelines, nor does it allow budget preparation or other proposal preparation guidance.
